Visit NOA

Affiliate disclosure

Last updated:

Visit NOA is free to read and reader-supported. This page explains exactly how that works, so you can judge what you read here with the full picture in front of you.

The short version

  • Visit NOA takes part in affiliate programmes, principally the Viator affiliate programme.
  • Some links on this site — the ones that take you to a tour or activity you can book — are affiliate links.
  • If you book after following one, we may earn a commission on that booking.
  • You never pay more because of it. The price is the same as it would be if you had gone to the partner directly.
  • The booking, the payment, and the tour itself are handled by Viator and the tour operator, not by us.

Affiliate links on Visit NOA are the booking buttons and links that take you from an experience page to a booking partner’s website. They are marked as sponsored links in the page’s code, and they open in a new tab so you do not lose your place here.

Links within our destination guides, province pages and travel articles that point to maps, official tourism boards, national park information, reference material or other websites are not affiliate links. We get nothing if you follow them.

What happens when you follow one

When you click a booking link, you leave Visit NOA and arrive on the partner’s website. The link carries an identifier that tells the partner you came from us. We do not set a cookie and we do not track the click ourselves — see our cookie policy and privacy policy for what that means in practice.

From that point on, you are the partner’s customer, not ours. Everything to do with availability, prices, payment, confirmation, changes, cancellations, refunds and the running of the tour itself is between you, Viator and the tour operator, under their terms. Our terms and conditions set out the division of responsibility in full.

What a commission does and does not buy

Commission does not buy a place on Visit NOA. We choose which destinations to cover and which experiences to feature on editorial grounds — whether they are worth your time in Northwest Argentina — and not according to what pays best. No tour operator, booking partner or tourism board pays us for coverage, for a position in a list, or for a favourable description. We do not accept payment for reviews.

Our editorial policy describes how we select and verify what we publish, and the limits of what we can independently check.

What commission does buy is the time to research, write, photograph and maintain the site. Without it, Visit NOA would not exist in this form.

What we cannot vouch for

Prices, ratings, review counts, availability and product descriptions on experience pages come from our booking partner, not from us. We show them as supplied, and they can change at any time — always confirm the current details on the partner’s own page before you book. We do not write, edit or verify partner reviews, and we do not aggregate them into a rating of our own.

Our relationship with Viator

Viator is a booking marketplace, part of the Tripadvisor group. Visit NOA is an independent publisher that participates in its affiliate programme. We are not owned by, employed by, or acting as an agent of Viator or of any tour operator, and nothing we publish should be read as a statement made on their behalf.
